Kid Cudi + Ryan Leslie Jump-off

I've hyped Kid Cudi before, and if you haven't heard his mixtape, "A Kid Named Cudi," then you should like download it or some shit. He's about to blow cuz he's signed to Kanye's GOOD Music label and he was all over 808's.
Ryan Leslie is a producer who went to Harvard (the Yale of the Ivy League) and became famous by making dope beats and putting those shits on YouTube. Check out this video of Ryan composing a dope jam (skip ahead to around 1:00 when the good shit starts):

So considering how sick that beat is and how fresh Cudi's flow is, you'd expect a collabo between the two to bust hard. Well you can decide for yourself. Listen to "Can I Be:"

Cudi brings it pretty hard on this track. His flow is on point and the lyrics are pretty much what you'd expect from a fresh new stud rapper. My issue is with the beat. Where is all of the originality that Leslie has been bringing? This beat is just a straight lift from "Someone Great," an LCD Soundsystem song. I expected more from a Harvard grad. Although my sister goes to Harvard and she doesn't really make hot beats, so maybe it's an institutional thing.
This song merits separate ratings for the flow and the production.

Cudi's flow on "Can I Be" - Sooo sick
Ryan Leslie's half-assed production - Pretty shitty
